My name is Parker Thornton. I have worked as a reporter at a weekly newspaper, written a travel column, and published freelance feature articles and a handful of poems. After one year of grad school in a writing program, I realized I want to be a nurse for a living, and a writer for the joy of it. Now I no longer have time to wade through the chaos of the submission process (or breathe, really), so I created this blog in order to share my writing easily.
I write about my travels, death and dying and rebirth, being a mom and a sister and a daughter and a wife. I write about getting older, what I see when I walk around the block, and also post some oldies from when I was younger and there were no blogs. (You’ll be able to spot the oldies because they’re heavy on sex and international be-bopping). I’d love to hear your thoughts and read what you’ve been up to, too.
